Head of IT.
Reporting To:
Finance Director.
Job Scope:
A. Strategy & Project Management:
· Evaluate the organisation’s long-term information needs and develop an overall IT strategy that meets those needs and contributes to the organisation’s business objectives.
· Develop and implement an overall IT security strategy and ensure that appropriate IT security systems and processes are in place to protect the privacy and integrity of the company’s information and related intellectual property.
· Delivered comprehensive systems architecture, IT services portfolio aligned with business priorities.
· Formulated projects road map and managed delivering a fault tolerant effective infrastructure and business systems to the defined availability and business continuity requirements.
· Efficiently organized and supervised engineers and contractors to complete contracts on time and in budget
· Rolled corporate excellence programs and business integration initiatives catering for synergy across various geographies.
· Strategically delivered ROI to corporate investments utilising latest virtualization, internal and outsourced technology tools.
· Developed project feasibility analysis model based on cash flow to measure optimum investment portfolio
· Introduced modelling tools to manage KPIs and pre-measure holistic benefits for the group strategies
B. IT Infrastructure Development & Implementation:
· Manage data-centers, networking and telecommunication setups and operations management, utilization monitoring, preventive maintenance and periodic failure testing
· Plan and enhance the security of the infrastructure to support the company’s needs, including architecture, hardware, software, and telecommunications resources
· Priorities and schedule computer operations and workflow so that processing equipment and other IT resources are used to their full capacity.
· Analyse maintenance, and malfunction records to identify problems and recommend solutions
· Research, evaluate, and recommend equipment purchases to enhance the capabilities of computer operations.
· Plan, develop and direct the introduction and operation of information technology systems and their development, maintenance and operating priorities.
· Plan and coordinate all investigations, feasibility studies and surveys of proposed and existing information systems and machine applications for agreement with senior management.
· Guide the selection, installation and use of computing equipment and software.
Candidate Technical Qualification:
· Working experience: 12-15 years
· Field of Experience: Software, project management, and procurement.
· Education background: Engineering background.
